(For example, you might determine that "Environment" was weak but there are many aspects of environment that you CAN CHANGE! Or, you might find that you have completed only one of the tasks in "Breed Knowledge" but that that has given you sufficient knowledge to consider the breed)! It is also helpful for ALL adult members of the family to complete the AQ to ensure that there is "accord" in your choice!

The AQ is designed only as a GUIDELINE to help you identify those characteristics important to understanding the Airedale Terrier and its needs, as well as to stimulate your thinking about pet ownership. However, just as the Airedale appeals to a wide variety of people, it is important to note that Airedales are extremely adaptable dogs and though we speak of "temperament" in generic terms, there exists a wide variation in individual temperaments within the breed! A responsible breeder can help you find the puppy or dog that best suits your needs, preferences, and lifestyles!
